You can’t think your way out of a body that still feels under threat.

You already know how to get through a hard day. What you may not know is how to help your body recognize when that hard day is over.

Around 80% of vagal fibers carry information from the body to the brain. Your breath, heart rate, and gut are constantly telling your brain something about the state you’re in.

That’s why reasoning with yourself isn’t always enough. Sometimes, the conversation needs to start with the body.

These four recordings work from the bottom up — using breath, touch, attention, and intentional exhalation to help your nervous system find its way back.

Annie Ferro, half her face in daylight, half in shadow.

Regulated is not the same as calm:

Calm is a state. Regulation is a capacity.

Your nervous system is supposed to react: your heart rate rises, your breath changes, your body mobilizes when something feels demanding, uncertain, or threatening.

The goal isn’t to stop that response. It’s to build the capacity to move through it — and find your way back.

Because real life will activate you: a difficult conversation, an unexpected message, a decision you don’t know how to make.

Regulation is what allows your body to respond without staying stuck in the response. These recordings are designed to help you practice that return — so your nervous system gets better at recognizing when the moment has passed, settling after activation, and finding its way back to a state where you can think, feel, and choose more clearly.

You’re not training yourself to be calm all the time.
You’re training your ability to come back to baseline.

What’s inside

Morning
to lights out.

Each recording does one job, and each moves your body along a different curve. You’ll know which is which within a week.

Morning

A Coherent HeartInfluence Your Breath

Breathing at a steady rhythm with your attention at the chest, so your heart rate and breath fall into step. Ten minutes that set the state you carry into the rest of the day.

10:50
Before what matters

Regulated for What Matters

For the hour before something you care about. You hold the picture of the room and lengthen your exhale at the same time, so your body learns it can hold both at once — then rehearse the moment it goes sideways.

11:46
After something knocks you off

TransitioningFrom Activated to Neutral

For the twenty minutes after a hard conversation, an unexpected message, or news you didn’t want. It brings your body down from activation without asking you to pretend the thing didn’t happen.

8:58
Lights out

Calming Your Body

A full descent through the body, closing with self-applied touch on the arms — the slow, light stroking that your skin is specifically wired to read as safety.

12:44

With repetition

What starts to change.

When your body spends less energy staying ready for the next thing, that attention becomes available again.

You may notice:

  • You recover faster after a difficult conversation.
  • You stop replaying the same interaction for hours.
  • Small things feel less disproportionately big.
  • You can pause before reacting.
  • Decisions feel clearer and require less mental effort.
  • You notice tension sooner — before it takes over.
  • Your attention stays with what’s actually happening instead of scanning for what might happen.
  • You feel more present in conversations, work, and your own life.

What you get

Yours, downloaded, offline.

Four audio files

Standard audio files, downloaded to your own device. No app, no login, no subscription running quietly in the background.

Recorded in my voice

The same voice that led you in the room, at the same pace, holding the same silences.

Fine without headphones

Mixed to hold up on a phone speaker in a dark bedroom, which is where most of them will actually be played.

Yours to keep

Put them on your phone, your laptop, a car playlist. They’re files. They don’t expire and they don’t phone home.

Who’s speaking

Ten years inside
this exact problem.

I’ve spent more than a decade working with women in transition — perimenopause, the end of a long marriage, a career that stopped fitting, children who need less of you than they did. The chapters nobody teaches you to name.

Nearly all of them arrive with the same two things: a nervous system braced for years, and a mind that keeps trying to reason with it. The reasoning is not the problem. It’s that reasoning is aimed at the wrong system.

My work runs on a method I built and have refined across hundreds of hours of private practice — four phases: see, understand, rebuild, sustain. Nothing gets rebuilt on a body that can’t come down first.

These recordings are for anyone. Most of my private practice is with women, and two of the spaces I run are women’s rooms. The nervous system is not one of the things that differs — everyone reading this has the same two branches, the same vagus nerve, the same eighty percent of fibers reporting upward. If you have a body that won’t come down at night, these were made for you.

Membership · The Golden Hour · A women’s circle

Company, on the
days you’d rather not.

A membership that lives entirely on WhatsApp, for women in the middle of something — a body that’s changing, a marriage that ended or shifted, children who need less of you, a name for yourself that stopped fitting. Three touches a week, in the app you already have open.

  • MondayA voice note from me. Five minutes, never more.
  • WednesdayA photo prompt. One image from your week, shared with the circle.
  • FridayA Little Luxury — a song, a recipe, something small and entirely for you.

There’s no course to finish and no way to fall behind. It isn’t therapy and it isn’t another app to download. It’s company, which is a different thing and also a necessary one. Cancel in one message, any time, no explanation.

Before you buy

Fair questions.

Do I need to have taken the class?
No. Each recording carries its own instructions from the first line. The class gives you the reasoning behind them; the recordings work without it.
How do the files reach me?
A download link arrives by email within a minute of checkout. If it hasn’t appeared in five minutes, check your spam folder, then write to me and I’ll send it directly.
I’ve never meditated. Will this work?
Yes, and it may work faster than it does for people who have. Nothing here asks you to empty your mind or sit in any particular position. You’re being talked through what to do with your breath, your hands, and your attention.
What if I fall asleep?
On the fourth one, that’s the intended outcome. On the first, it’s common and harmless. On the third, it means you needed the fourth one instead.
Is this therapy?
No. These are self-regulation practices drawn from somatic and nervous-system work, and they are not a treatment for trauma, anxiety disorders, or any medical condition. If you’re working with a therapist, they sit well alongside that work — tell them you’re using them.
Refunds?
Digital files can’t be returned once downloaded, so I don’t offer refunds. Everything you’re buying is described on this page. If something arrives broken or won’t play, write to me and I’ll fix it.

Four files.
Under an hour of your life, total.

Then they live on your phone, for whenever the day gets away from you.
